Federico Acosta

Federico Acosta is the CEO and co-founder of Custom Surgical GmbH, a company revolutionizing ophthalmology through advanced digitalization and artificial intelligence tools. With over 10 years of experience in the ophthalmology market, Federico has trained ophthalmologists in the latest technologies and assisted in over 2,000 surgeries. He holds a master's degree in biomedical computing from the Technical University of Munich, where he became part of UnternehmerTUM and a mentor in the Xpreneurs accelerator program.Under his leadership, Custom Surgical expanded to more than 70 countries, leveraging the largest database of surgical videos and diagnostic images to develop AI-driven tools. In the last 5 years, Custom Surgical has been nominated as one of the 50 fastest growing startups in Germany and won the Luminate accelerator program in New York.
