Niklas Köster

Niklas Köster is the co-founder of The Better Cat, Germany's first brand specializing in preventive cat nutrition. The Better Cat was founded in June 2022 by Niklas and his co-founder Rahit Shadra. Niklas handles product, operations and fundraising, while Rahit is responsible for performance marketing, CRM and technology. In March 2024, Max Bartusch joined the company as the 3rd co-founder responsible for influencer marketing, content and community. The Better Cat is backed by leading early stage consumer investor FoodLabs. The company has found product-market fit and completed phase 0 to 1. Prior to founding The Better Cat, Niklas worked as an e-commerce investor at SellerX, one of the world's leading local brand creation companies in Amazon. The company has raised $750 million in capital in just 12 months and has acquired over 50 companies over its lifetime. Niklas began his career in investment banking at Macquarie Capital.
