Nikolay Vasev

Nikolay Vasev has many years of experience in European healthcare. His doctoral dissertation from the University of Copenhagen is devoted to the implementation of the Directive on cross-border patient rights in Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands and Denmark, as well as to the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union in patients' rights cases.He also worked in DG SANTE at the European Commission on several health related files, as well as on a report on antimicrobial resistance in Europe. As a policy expert at the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Nicolai was responsible for strengthening iodine distribution measures in the event of a nuclear accident.After returning to Bulgaria in 2018, Nikolay worked at Sopharma Trading, the largest pharmaceutical distributor in Bulgaria, as a manager of strategic projects in Bulgaria and Serbia. Since February 2023, Nikolay has been the COO at Epix AI.
